Building Understanding. Creating Opportunity.
In May, Project 180 partnered with the Florida Department of Corrections to bring a Reentry Simulation to our community. The experience gave participants a closer look at the barriers returning citizens must navigate and the difficult choices they are often forced to make with limited time, resources and support.
This October, we are partnering with FDOC again, with an intentional focus on bringing employers, hiring professionals, property managers and housing providers into the room. Access to employment and stable housing can shape the entire course of someone’s reentry, and the people who make or influence those decisions have the power to create meaningful opportunities.
Our goal is to turn greater understanding into action by encouraging more informed decisions, strengthening community partnerships and creating more pathways to long-term stability and success.
